• Participant and contributor to development of Global Public Inclusive Infrastructure (http://gpii.net) as editor of ISO 24751:2008 (http://wiki.fluidproject.org/display/ISO24751/AccessForAll+Working+Group)

• Vice Chair BSI ICT/00-/06 ICT Accessibility Co-ordination

  o Committee responsible for national co-ordination of all UK input to international accessibility standards

• Member BSI IST/043 Information Technology for Learning Education and Training

  Supply Accessibility expertise, ISO Standards development representation and liason with other committees

• Head of UK delegation to ISO/IEC JTC1 SC36

  ISO Committee responsible for Standards related Information and Communications Technology in Learning Education and Training.
 Active in the sub-group Culture, Language and Individual Needs, and active in Management and Delivery of Learning Resources where I co-edit a Technical Element part of Metadata for Learning Resources
 Standard. Also active in an ad-hoc looking at a future “packaging” standard to incorporate eBooks.

• Head of UK delegation to ISO/IEC JTC1 SC35

  ISO Committee responsible for Standards related to User Interfaces

• Liaison between ISO/IEC JTC1 SC35 and a Joint Task Accessibility Group working across CEN and ETSI to revise ISO Guide 71, which is a standard relating to the needs of older persons

• Frequent Head of UK delegation to ISO/IEC JTC1 Special Working Group on Accessibility

  Group attempting harmonisation across accessibility standards and related goals (see the Goals/Terms of Reference section of The SWG-A Website

• Member and Contributing Author BSI IST/45

  Group that have just produced a ground-breaking standard putting many accessibility activities within organisations in a useful process framework
